Family Recipe Book

Hello there, blog friends!

Hopefully your weather is as kind to you as ours is to us.

Thankfully, the polar vortex has not killed our beloved deer, the foxes and the wild turkeys from our yard. We gladly saw them enjoying the latest rays of sunshine from our studio's window.

This year has started slow for us, mainly because we are in the midst of a large remodeling project that just seems to take longer than planned. (bet you've heard that one before!)

For now, we will share dear project, a Family Recipe Book made from antiqued papers , hand painted chipboard, stamped with unique and vintage French stamps and embellished with hand made details.

Here a few of the customized pages:

Watermark Starfish Wedding Invitations

Here is one of our favorite projects. It started as a simple printed invite, but the bride had the brilliant idea of adding the lovely photo and share the love between her and the handsome groom....

The invites feature beautiful real starfish, raffia and are boxed with kraft paper for a more rustic look.
It was a very rewarding project, we enjoyed this one! Good luck to the happy couple!

Eiffel Tower Christmas Cards

Last summer we decided to promote our new company, to do some PR and to collect some new supplies for cards and invites. It was the most exciting trip, most rewarding and unforgetable. We traveled through Europe and we met the most amazing people, we experienced the most wonderful moments of selflessness and dedication. Europeans are definitely different.

Anyway, while in Paris, we had decided that I needed some Eiffel Tower embelishments for my new Wedding Invitation Line. We  found this fellow, Tony, who, almost putting his life and freedom on the line, provided us with a considerable number of Eiffel Tower embelishments (key chains), showing up during the worst rain storm Paris has ever seen. We got sooo busy with other orders and commitments, that we never got to make Eiffel Tower invites, but here are the key chains incorporated in our Christmas cards:

Thank you Tony! We appreciate your business and your dedication!

Vintage Style Christmas Shaker Cards

We see this on blogs and in other shops all the time: Christmas in July! I really love the idea of creating all the Christmas cards in July and have everything ready. When the season comes, it would be so easy just to grab one and send it out... for some reason we never manage to to this around here. By the time we start making Christmas cards in our studio, the season is almost over. We're glad if we get them out in time!

Since the Birthday Shaker Card was such a success, we received an order for the same card but with a Christmas theme.

Here two variations of the same design.

Of course you can find these cards, along with several other vintage style Christmas items in our Etsy Shop....

Pumpkin Favor Tags

Beautiful Thank You Cards made for a Christening

Acorn Tags made for our Thanksgiving Table last year

These Handpainted Pumpkin Tags were made for Crystal from
she used them as background for a pair of beautiful earrings she made. The tags were also included in her Giveaway that week.

This week we read a sign outside a church... it said:

THIS THANKSGIVING BE THANKFUL FOR ALL THE THINGS YOU DON'T HAVE!

At first I thought this sounded silly, but actually... we really should be counting our blessings and Thank God for all the things he protected us from.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Just A Little Note

Have you ever been SORRY for not keeping in touch with someone? Have you ever thought "I wish I would have called, texted, emailed or... just sent a little note some time? Did you ever realize how great these  people  were, only when it was too late, because.... they had passed away? How helpless and frustrating that feeling is. And how we wish, we had only one more chance to tell them how we feel about them and what their presence in our lives ment to us....

I am telling you: it is very simple. Evey now and then, without any reason, just send a little note.

Show that you care, that you keep them in mind, even if you don't call every day, even if you live on a different continent or if life's paths took you another way.

Cherish your friendships!

Spellbinders gone wild - Birthday card

This Birthday Card was made combining different shades of purple.

The recipe includes pretty simple ingredients, an embossing folder, a couple of Spellbinders grand cutting dies, some pearls and a classy satin ribbon.

The sentiment is attached in 3D fashion, with dimensionals. A pretty simple card, with big effect.
